The kitchen layout was improved by adding counter space that serves as a preparation area and storage. The simple but efficient design was achieved by using white KitKat tiles for the backsplash, synthetic stone for the counter, and minimalist kitchen fixtures like the sink, faucet, and cabinet handles. An additional nook for the microwave was also installed to add efficiency to the kitchen.

Integration of Filipino materials into the design
Idr. Uzel Alconera’s artistic vision seeks to combine the use of different Filipino materials. The combination of warm wood Solihiya dining chairs, organically shaped Capiz lighting fixture, and a modern sofa and coffee table created the contemporary and Filipino feel of the interior.
To highlight these elements, a drop ceiling with cove light was incorporated into the space. Additional pin lights and task lights were also installed to improve the overall lighting condition in the living area.
